Umidjon Karimov is from Yapan in the Ferghana region. He received his bachelor’s degree in English Philology as a Translator-Interpreter from the Andijan State Institute of Foreign Languages in Andijan City in 2002. He worked at high schools and vocational colleges from 2002 to 2009. During his time as a teacher, he has learned how to integrate vocational subjects into general subjects, as well as how to use interactive methods of teaching. He began his position as an English teacher at School #15 in Uchkuprik, Ferghana in 2018. He has been working at the school for four years and teaches grades 7, 9, 10 and 11. Besides this, he gives courses on speech development for pupils. As a Regional Peer Mentor-Teacher, he is looking forward to updating his classroom teaching, speaking English fluently, and learning about student-centered classroom teaching. He will try to do his best to share the skills he gains with his colleagues.
